Basically, it set no one up for 'Mania except those we'd rather discount from Mania. How does this help anyone? I mean, we're all actively looking for the Wyatts role at WrestleMania - not Kane, Ryback, and Big Show. Eventually getting the win, after pinning Harper with a Shellshock. Well then Ryback started craving up everyone at the end like a damn house on fire. Two veterans who don't need to go any higher than they are right now. The "Titans" are a bunch of guys, basically, who don't need the push or the elevation. I just figured, quite reasonably, that the Wyatts would win. Admittedly, I wasn't paying all that much attention to this one. WINNER, and still Intercontinental Champion: Kevin Owens Ryback, Big Show & Kane vs. "Your hometown loves me more than you!" Strong stuff from a guy who gets it. Hounding Cole for no reason (other than our endless enjoyment) and yelling at Ziggler. I'd also like to give a shout-out to the spot where Owens was looking to powerbomb Ziggler on the ring apron but Zig reversed into a hurricanrana - into the ring steps! I don't know what was going on with Ziggler's hair tonight, but I'd be okay if it died in a fire. These two left it all in the ring and gave us a tremendous back-and-forth encounter. Owens won with an amazing, like, short-arm Pop Up Powerbomb. Fastlane is delivering, even on the most basic fronts right now. Dolph Ziggler I know watching these guys fight week in and week out on TV was growing a little tiresome, but this was a freakin' great match. WINNERS: Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens vs. In the end, Sasha caught Tamina in the Bank Statement and Becky locked Naomi in the Disarmer. Of course, if Brie gets a Daniel Bryan sympathy win tonight it could be a Fourway, but I think our main concern is that these two get a showing on the Grandest Stage of Them All. I think most of us are hoping for a Triple Threat at 'Mania featuring Becky and Sasha and Charlotte. I'm REALLY happy this match came off well. One far removed from the days of the "revolution." Everyone now feels like they have their own flavor and the crowd was way into it. Everyone worked their asses off and gave us a fun non-title Divas match. Nice fake "hot tag" moment halfway through when it seemed like Becky was going to tag in Sasha but Naomi pulled Banks off the apron. Naomi & Tamina Damn, girls! Sweet tag match. COME BACK, MAURO! WINNER, and still United States Champion: Kalisto Becky Lynch & Sasha Banks vs. The pre-show matches are also a good indicator at what kind of crowd we'll be dealing with. Giving up the first fall for the sake of trying to "injure" Kalisto. The loss (which came after a final gasp roll up by Kalisto) works because Del Rio's cockiness, essentially, was his undoing. Basically, WWE's found the Del Rio/Rey Mysterio feud that was never quite able to take off properly. Crowd was hot, Del Rio and Kalisto continued to have great chemistry, AND we got the extra treat of having the match called by Smackdown's Maruo Ranallo! DON'T LEAVE, MAURO! STAY FOR THE WHOLE SHOW! Anyhow, even though it was kind of easy to predict Kalisto winning after Del Rio got himself intentionally DQ'd (via chairshot) for the first fall, this one still played well. Alberto Del Rio (2-out-of-3-Falls Match) Nice pre-event match (Though it's all really just part of the same show now, right? Because Network). ITZA FASTLANE TIME! United States Champion Kalisto vs. Beast" main event, Kevin Owens will defend the IC Title against Dolph Ziggler, Charlotte looks to fend off the challenge of Brie Bella and retain her belt, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch team to take on the remaining members of Team B.A.D., and Chris Jericho and AJ Styles will face each other for a third time. Speaking of Twitter, feel free to follow me as I'll be live-tweeting there (along with live-blogging here). I held a Twitter poll the other night, asking people who they thought would win the 'Mania title shot.
